We stayed at Villa Suan Maak in Luang Prabang, Laos for just over a week. The hotel was not the most fantastic hotel we have stayed in, but it did tick all of our boxes. For example, the breakfast was ok, the wifi was ok, the air conditioning was ok, the bed was ok.
The room came with a very hot shower and the location was pretty good too. We were close enough to the city area but far enough away to enjoy quiet Luang Prabang.
Our rooms at Villa Suan Maak didn't have a television. The upstairs rooms that are a little more expensive apparently do have televisions. We were able to work on our laptops while sitting on deck chairs overlooking a lovely garden with a scruffy and happy dog hanging out with us. That was nice.
If we ever return to Luang Prabang, we would still look around for a better deal. However, we would quite happily return to Villa Suan Maak. Especially if goatalicious / goatapotumous / goatsicle is still around.
