So, you have been to the night market of Luang Prabang and bought oodles of totally awesome stuff and now you need to send stuff home to yourself because your backpack is too heavy. Well, this is how much it will cost you... A lot. Sending mail from Luang Prabang in Laos costs a lot...

It's not cheap to send a parcel home from Laos. But if you really have to as of March 2012, the costs to send a postcard, a light parcel and a much heavier parcel are below. At the time 8000 kip = $1 US = $1 AUD.

    Hi Tanya! Thank you for your post. I was just in Luang Prabang and would like to send stuff back to Canada. Do you know if these prices are up to date? Also, would you have the direct contact to Luang Prabang Post office? Thank you!! Claire

      The prices wouldn’t have changed that much in the last year. It would be cheaper to send stuff back to Canada from Thailand 🙂
